Services includes :

  • Orthotics
An orthotist is a skilled specialist responsible for the manufacturing and fitting of orthotics. Orthotics are devices made to modify the body's structural and functional issues and support the body where support may be needed. Support may be needed because of a motor neuron dysfunction, injury, inflammatory joint disease, sports injury, or congenital disability. Mr TM Setwaba can aid in the tailoring of orthotic devices to suit a patient's specific requirements.
  • Prosthetics
A prosthetist is a skilled specialist responsible for manufacturing and fitting prosthetics. Prosthetics are devices that replace a part of the human body to help regain certain functions after amputation. The replacement includes part of the limb or the entire limb through prosthetics. Amputation can result from injury, infection, tumours, diabetes, or insufficient blood supply. The amputation can be the removal of an entire limb or upper or lower extremity. Mr Setwaba aims to restore function for patients who have had an amputation.
  • Prosthetics Mobility
Mobility aids and devices are designed to assist in improving a patient's movement or walking. Different mobility aids can assist a patient with their impaired ability, resulting from disease, injury, or age. Mobility aids improve stability by providing support and a more comprehensive range of stable centre of gravity positioning. They also reduce lower limb weight by lowering the impact and static forces being transmitted through affected limbs. Mobility aids generate movement using crutches and arms as substitutes for muscles and joints in dynamic forces when walking. Mobility aids include prosthetics, wheelchairs and scooters, canes, crutches, and walkers.
