Dr Siobhan Sweeney

Registered Counselling Psychologist (MA Couns Psych (Rhodes)) with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) working in private practice in the Lynfrae, Claremont residential area. I offer both psychotherapy and assessment to children, adolescents and adults. The psychotherapeutic interventions I offer for individuals, couples and families can take the form of brief, focused interventions to more long-term, in-depth interventions. I hope to help individuals deal with a range of difficulties such as relationship or adjustment stress, work or scholastic difficulties, mood and anxiety disorders and childhood disorders as well as to bring about change by providing a private and containing space which gives one the opportunity for self-exploration and personal growth. I also offer comprehensive assessments examining career options, school readiness or scholastic/academic difficulties.
